Scotish DJ, Calvin Harris top Forbes' list of highest paid DJs for the fifth year in a row



Calvin Harris was on Tuesday named the highest paid DJ for the fifth consecutive year.
The 33-year-old Scotish DJ who's also a record producer and a songwriter brought in $48.5 million between June 2016 and June 2017, outpacing fellow DJs Tiesto and newcomers The Chainsmokers.
Calvin earnings came from a combination of residencies in Las Vegas and festival performances as well as from producing pop hits such as his latest summer track, Feels with Katy Perry and Pharrell Williams.
Tiesto, who topped the list in 2012, earned $39million and came in at No. 2.
The Chainsmokers earned $38million, bolstered by the chart-topping success of pop hits Closer with Halsey and Something Just Like This with Coldplay.
The list also includes veteran French DJ David Guetta and German producer Zedd.
Several people have reacted to the list, pointing out a lack of diversity in the DJ field, whose 10 highest earners were male and mostly white, from the United States or Europe.
According to Forbes, the annual earnings list was collated from data gathered from Nielsen and touring trackers such as Pollstar and Bandsintown, as well as industry insiders and artists.

Building collapses in Owerri

A building collapsed at the early hours of Sunday at about  3am  at Egbu road just opposite the police station at Fire Service in Owerri. According to reports about 6 people were rescued alive while about 4 people are feared dead. I have videos of were dead bodies are been pulled out. The governor came around to inspect the Collapsed Building and he directed that the old building beside it with a green roof should be demolished also because it's owned by same owner of the Collapsed Building since that same building has already been marked by OCDA as a building dat wud also collapsed soon. From what I saw, the materials used in constructing the building wasn't upto to standard. No chippings rather it was local stones that was used. It was also reported that the building was suppose to be 2 storey but was but out of Greed it was made 3 storey. My name is Kelly Bobor incase u want further information.

Female Badoo Member Nabbed In Ikorodu, See What Angry Mob Did To Her (Photos)

A suspected member of the dreaded Badoo group was nabbed by an angry mob in Imota town which is located in the Ikorodu area of Lagos. According to report, the incident happened on Monday, July 17, when the yet-to-be-named woman was caught with charm and a grinding stone. It was the timely intervention of the police that prevented her from being killed as the mob was bent on causing great harm to her. The police managed to take her away to their station before she was greatly injured. Meanwhile, an attack by a suspected member of the dreaded Badoo group was averted in Ikorodu area of Lagos on Friday July 14. A Facebook page dedicated to residents of Ikorodu said the cultists had planned to launch an attack on Eyita Diasi Okeowo Street in Ikorodu. CVloth and mortar was found in the location where the cultist hid in an uncompleted building in the area. See Photos below:-
